Your prototype
aluminum castings can be made by either plaster or sand casting
methods . The geometry of the casting dictates which process will
be used.
The aluminum
alloys that we pour our casting out of are: 201, 319, 356, 380 and
390. We can also provide a T5 & T6 Heat Treat if so required.
We have our own ovens for quick turnaround.
Short runs of
castings can be made off of loose patterns, without follow boards,
to reduce cost & save time. These patterns are either stereolithography
patterns (SLA) or CNC pattern. Some jobs require rubber tooling
for plaster molds, or plastic tooling for sand molds. This tooling
can be produced in-house off of a supplied pattern. If a pattern
does not exist, one can be built by the traditional hand method.
If a 2-D drawing
file or 3-D CAD data is available, the pattern can be cut on a C.N.C.
Mill or made by stereolithography. We work with whatever you have!
